This is wonderful! I can’t wait to try it first thing tomorrow morning. I broke a bone in my wrist and am in a brace, but this is something I can actually do — at least the Cling Wrap and paint manipulation.
After the initial watercolor is applied under top openings of the wrap (and travels down the paper), the wrap is removed, and more watercolor paints and watercolor pencils are used as you see fit. I'm going to attempt to form the wrap into a flower (?). Who knows what I'll get but it'll be fun! 🎨
Is that Lunar Black that you are using? Do you pick more granulating colors or just what you have on hand? Thanks.
hmmm I used mostly Jadeite, Hematite Violet Genuine and indigo for this piece.
I wrote about you in my blog post today. I hope you don’t mind. If you object, I will take it down. I am glad to find you. Sincerely, Karla Hartzog, http://karlakrafts.comhttps://karlakrafts.com/2026/05/a-new-artist-to-follow/
Hey Karla, of course I don't mind being mentioned in your blog. Thank you so much. Appreciate your support.
You are welcome. That watercolor cube cutting gave me all kinds of ideas!
Photo of dried completed technique sans the plastic, please.
You will see a photograph of my finished artwork in this post.
I am not a visual artist, but I love seeing what you do. Makes me happy. I hope you have a great time on your travels in July.💜
Thank you so much Jean!! Glad my art can bring you a bit of happiness. 🙏☺️🤩
Wow -- this is nuts! I L*O*V*E it.
Thank you so much!! Hope you will it out for yourself. 🤩☺️🙏
Great technique. Thanks.

Get well soon and have lots of fun playing!
They're all so beautiful!! I'm going to try it. 🎨
Did you see a number of pieces Sonia? I see the wrap on the paper, very cool process, but it stops there... Am I missing something?

Looking forward to your flower experiment!
Have fun playing!!
Thank you for the fun inspiration! What thickness of paper do you use?
I was using Fabriano Artistico 300gsm hot pressed watercolour paper for this project.
