Thanks for this Paul. It may be monsoon season in your part of the world but we in the Northeast states are experiencing wildfires due to very dry conditions. And anything that can add some creativity to my day while our country is in such changing times is welcome to ease my anxiety. This is like having a Sketching Play Time with you! 💕

Your work is so inspirational. You think on a higher artistic plain than us lesser mortals. Your ability to asses a scene and then paint and draw it as a series of shapes rather than the actuality is breathtaking. It requires a change of mindset on my part which I constantly strive for. You make it look so effortless!

I like your 'Racecourse Road' sketch! What brush or pen did you use to get those varying line weights? The lines are full of character and life.

Ah I was using a fude pen (55degrees) made by Sailor for that sketch. The bent nib allows me create thick and thin lines. 🙏☺️

Thank you Paul, I am so intrigued by your brush strokes, you use the paint brush like a pencil, then the odd smudge with your finger is so different. Thanks for the link about DS, I am hoping over there next! Enjoy the cool rain!

Thank you Angela!! Glad you noticed my brush. The opposite is true too. I often paint with my pencil just like a brush. Code switching is fun. 🤩
